Tuition, Fees, and related information

Drive’s inaugural year is limited to a student body of 50 students. There is a $500 registration fee (non-refundable) to ensure that an applicant fully intends to be a student at Drive. The registration fee will be applied towards the student’s tuition.

An education from Drive Virtual Academy is a significant year-round commitment of time and finances for any family. We appreciate this and we are committed to do everything we can to keep tuition low, while not compromising the integrity of our mission. We value your commitment to your child’s education and we strive to prioritize the acceptance of families who appreciate the importance of a high quality education.

Tuition for all students for the 2020-2021 school year is $12,000

(payment options listed below)

Prepaid

Prepay by August 1st 2020 and receive a $2000 discount bringing the total of tuition to only $10,000.  All Payments are non-refundable.

Pay $5,500 by August 1st, 2020 and save $1,000. The balance is 10 monthly payments of $550.  All payments are non-refundable.  Monthly payments are set up as automatic electronic payments made on the first of the month.  Payments start on September 1st, 2020

Full Payment Plan

The full $12,000 is spread out over 10 monthly payments starting on August 1st, 2020.  All payments are non-refundable.  Monthly payments must be set up as automatic electronic payments made on the first of the month.  Payments for the Full Payment Plan start on August 1st, 2020

Tuition includes:

  • All software for required classes and projects

  • 12 months of flexible, challenging, personal instruction and guidance on real world projects

  • Co-creation and curation of student growth, experience, and project work in dynamic portfolios and transcripts

  • A safe environment to learn and grow

  • Relationships with community members, business owners, and experts world-wide

  • Access to activities like Esports and Virtual Robotics (additional costs may apply)

  • A dedicated plan to connect each student with opportunities, mentorships, and apprenticeships that coincide with a student’s goals

  • An advocate to make sure each student is preparing for their next academic endeavor - keeping track of required courses and tests, meeting score requirements, filling out forms, applying for financial aid, taking advantage of scholarship opportunities, staying ahead of deadlines, etc.

  • A community of friends to enjoy games, activities, and hanging out, as well as experience the ups and downs associated with debating ideas, trying theories, and compromise 

  • Tech Fluency

  • A flexible schedule based on the needs of the individual

  • Easy and frequent communication between and inclusion of all stakeholders

Student requirements:

  • A personal Windows 10 PC laptop or desktop that meets or exceeds our minimum requirements.

  • iPad (must support the most recent iOS with updates)

  • Reliable high speed internet connection

  • A quiet space to connect and learn

  • Project/class supplies (as needed)

  • Any additional fees or costs involved with activities such as:

    • Clubs

    • Teams

    • Field Trips

  • Students must be willing to try new things and work together towards common goals
