The school calendar is divided into seasons. The fall, winter, and spring seasons focus on culture, ecology, and economy respectively. Students have a two week vacation over the summer, but otherwise, the beginning of the summer season is dedicated to wrapping up studies and reflecting on projects. As the summer progresses, students bond with each other and our teachers. Games, activities, and challenges build relationships and lay the foundation for a strong school culture. We begin to acclimate students to an educational experience where they are in the driver’s seat. We also have time to set goals with each student for the upcoming year.
